So this has been a rapidly evolving build as I learn the ins and outs of what perks work best (or at least correctly) and as I find out what heavy weapons to go for. Personally I use the trusty .50 cal and a Minigun since the Martial Artist perk applies to it and it one shots lower level mobs very easily when its ammo is more or less the same to make as .50 cal ammo is. Gatling plasmas weren’t bad but you have to carry more than one for when (not if, when) they break and I’d rather carry doubles of non-energy weapons and take the +energy resist mutation.
My actual build has more of a splash as you can fit 1 point perks for shotguns, heavy weapons and melee weapons in strength and take Skeet Shooter over the glowing enemies perk if you’re not heading into a nuke zone, but I’ve come to rely on shotguns as a backup way less frequently and a proper legendary melee two hander with just Martial Artist can clean up what the heavy guns didn’t kill just fine.
PS – Make sure you’re using Radaway Diluteds with this build or that mutation won’t last that long. Luck isn’t a bad stat to have but this build is for my crafting character who’s always gonna have 15 Int so I don’t have much wiggle room.
