This particular build is a shot (haw haw haw) at creating a pistol build that’s not just “lul max damage”. It adds in some QoL perks so that you’re not constantly worrying about having to scrap junk in the field every 5 minutes…or having to drink 10 purified waters every 5 minutes.
That said, this build will do a good chunk of damage and is extremely mobile (with the chosen mutations). Notice that the build is set up for both VATS and aimed/scoped pistol usage as well as being future-proofed to include what I consider the perfect end-game pistol (upcoming with Wastelanders), the Gauss Pistol. The damage and versatility of a Gauss Rifle in pistol form is a game changer for pistol builds and I can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on one. 🙂
Regarding mutations, armor, etc:
- Notice that the Chameleon mutation is not included. From my experience, unless you’re a Berzerker sniper or have quick access to a set of Weightless legendary armor, the Chameleon mutation isn’t needed and is annoying as all get out. This build assumes you’ll be using a piece of Chameleon armor instead.
- This is a generalist build that can be used unchanged with Mutant’s weapons. A Vampire / Vanguard build works well with this. It’s general enough that you can tweak it to work with several builds (Junkie’s would work with just a few tweaks for reducing chem weights. Bloodied would probably not work well without major changes, though.)
This is my first build using the planner so if you have any suggestions, feel free to pass them along and I’ll consider them and we can discuss.
