To answer some questions I had with this build before playing it:
Q: Why no Action Boy?
A: You have 30 agility with full Unyielding before any +stats from chems or minor armor effects, plus hopefully at least one piece of armor with AP refresh. You’re good on AP. Plus the SBQ will bug you out at 0 AP anyway.
Q: Why not have maxed out Rifleman perks?
A: Your damage is good enough, trust me. Granted it’d be 6 points for 30% damage so very similar to two more full Bloody Mess cards, but you one shot everything that’s not a sheepsquatch, scorchbeast or mirelurk king/queen anyway (and I haven’t gotten to sneak up on the latter so maybe those too if non-legendary).
Q: Why not Commando perks?
A: Mostly because of my weapon selection; I have multiple bloodied/ffr non-auto guns yet don’t even have a bloodied fixer or handmade, much less the worse gun options. It’d certainly possible and only 3 points of perks to swap if you do, but they’re the meta-est of meta guns so they’re the most expensive and/or likely to be dupes.
Possible changes based on preference would be:
• Using Revenant since as bloodied/unyielding you’re going to die at some point in most big fights
• Bodyguards over Lone Wanderer in groups of course. I can’t guarantee I’ll be in a group (yet) so I still put Lone Wanderer on all my builds.
• Replacing Bloody Mess with Grim Reaper’s Sprint, which might also fix the 0 AP bug on the queen if you kill a mob and it procs, though I haven’t heard anyone sciencing that yet. Might want to try that if you’re on the PTR and they haven’t fixed the queen fight yet.
• Weight perks moving around as necessary; I got 4 aid reduction perks so I don’t need Traveling Pharmacy nor Thru-Hiker any more, but of course you might need different ones.
